Power Of Positive Thinking Miracles

Irvine, CAI'm a Master's grad working in IT
I came to US for my Master’s Degree with $ 7K in student loans from abroad at a very high interest rate of 18% p.a. I always wanted to pay this back right away so that my parents don’t have to bear the cost. I got funding to cover my first 2 semesters and I immediately sent the money back so that my parents could payoff the loan.
After 2 semesters though, due to lack of funds, I was no longer to be funded by the department. I was in trouble! However, I had a firm belief and faith that somehow I will be able to get the funds to cover the high fees for the remaining 2 semesters.
I was very positive and joined a summer job of setting up dorms for the fall which paid $ 6/hr. I was working 30 hrs. I took up another after hours job paying $ 5.15/hr for 10 hours. In the 10 hours I had available during daytime, I used to drop my resume off in all departments across the campus and follow up on any chances of receiving funding. This went on till almost the end of summer. Fall was about to start in 3 weeks and I was still very positive even though I had saved up only 25% of what I needed.
During one of my job hunting day trips, I came across a job of conducting surveys which paid $ 7/hr and was obviously less laborious. I convinced the professor in charge to try me out for 2 weeks and fire me if I was not able to get enough surveys since, based on past experience, he was reluctant to employ people whose 1st language was not English.
I worked hard during those 2 weeks and got him way above average number of surveys. Towards the end of the 2nd week, one of my colleagues over there got an email regarding a funded assistantship in computer sciences department. The next day, I saw a guy from computer sciences department being congratulated. I talked to him in private and found out that he is taking the position mentioned in the email. I knew, he had funding from an external department which he was now leaving. I convinced him to recommend me to his current boss. He introduced me to his boss and I was able to present myself such that he offered me the position the guy was quitting. It fully covered my fees for the rest of my credits and paid me a handsome $ 1200/month and I got it when I was days away from paying the fees. I thanked God for that!
