Manifesting College Money
Submitted by: M.A.
ColoradoBlessed Mom of 3 amazing kids.
Eighteen years ago, when my first child was born, I said to my husband, “We are starting a college fund for him, right?” He replied, “No, nobody paid my way, I am not paying for anyone elses way either.”
Nice…….
I, on the other hand, had a similar upbringing. I was raised by a single mom and we basically lived check to check, with little extra. So, needless to say, I was not given any help with college. As a result, I went sporatically. Working to earn enough to pay for a semester here and there.
I really wanted my child(ren) to have more than I had. I was devastated when my husband said we would not be setting up a college fund. I considered going to work, but I knew that I wanted to raise my kids myself, not work 40 hours a week while missing my children. I also knew that any extra money I made wouldn’t go to my kids’ education, but to my husbands desire for a boat, truck, fancy vacation, etc.
Fast forward 18 years. Oh how time flies! It’s already time for college in the fall! After being home with my kids, homeschooling them, caring for them, (a blessing in and of itself), it is time. And it is EXPENSIVE! Times 3 children!
I set out to manifest college money for my kids! I sent off for any scholarship I could find, no matter how small. I promised my kids that I would find a way for them to “Lend and not Borrow.” (Deuteronomy 15:6, For the LORD your God blesses you, as he promised you: and you shall lend unto many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.)
Just this week, $5000 + has come through for my kids! $2675 for my oldest, $2000 for my middle child, and $500 for my youngest. I sent off many scholarship applications and the kids and I have been visualizing all of the $$$ coming to us to keep them free from student loan debt.
When they opened their “congratulations” letters informing them of their scholarship award, they were so excited (for themselves and each other). I told them to remember that feeling, that excitement, and visualize doing that again and again, as each congratulations letter or email arrives.
I am completely confident that my kids will get through college debt-free! We are so grateful for The Secret!
