A Magical Trip To Disneyland Helped Me Understand.

I’ve been learning about the Law of Attraction and trying to apply it since I was very young. I realized I had unconsciously used it in different aspects of my life; getting good grades in my High School, becoming the head of Student Council, graduating as a Valedictorian, having a best friend, travelling to my dream places and much more!
After years of searching, learning, and experimenting, I came to a point where I felt like the LOA didn’t really work as I expected. Yes, there were moments I felt like, OMG, it’s really working, but most of the times, it just let me down. I didn’t question the Law, but I started questioning myself. What did I do wrong that other people seemed to attract positive things so easily, while I often had to gamble with the Universe?
A few months ago, I felt that I’d reached the lowest point in my life and I wasn’t happy at all. I decided to re-read The Science of Getting Rich and I had my parents read the book, too. After reading the book, my Mom pointed out a very important message that I’d been missing out before: Passion.
So it’s not only about visualization. It’s not only about setting a goal, or having the biggest dreams. It’s not only about giving, praying, and using positive words all the times. Yes, these are all very important, but without passion, it’s like owning the most expensive car without any fuel.
So what is passion? It sounds like a very common word, yet very difficult to understand, especially for a young adult like me.
My experience taught me that passion is like falling in love. When you fall in love with someone, you think about that person all the time. 24 hours per day. The first thing when you wake up, and the last thing before you fall asleep. You don’t need anyone to tell you or motivate you to think about that person. You just think about them automatically. You don’t need a picture of that person to remind you to think about them. You can’t stop thinking about that person even if you want to.
During these 10 years of knowing the LOA, I must say that most of the time I applied it unconsciously as I didn’t realize that I was actually applying the LOA. In August 2015, after reading The Science of Getting Rich, I decided to apply the LOA for a specific goal, and my first try was to go to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I live in Singapore and I was planning to take a 2-month course in New York City (which was also the result of LOA), and after completing the course, I wanted so badly to visit Disneyland California. Unfortunately my savings was just enough to go to NYC and I really didn’t have enough money left to go to California. I calculated the cost to go there, and I would need another SGD 1000 to be able to go there for a 3-day trip.
There was also another problem. I didn’t know anyone in the USA yet and I didn’t want to go to California alone, so I made 2 conditions to myself: If I can get a $1000 and a companion to go to Disneyland California, I will go there.
Everyday I would watch the Disneyland tour video on Youtube. I opened the Disneyland website, learned about the attractions over and over again, as if I was really going there. I realized that I was happy doing it; it wasn’t like I told myself to do it because the book said I had to visualize. In my mind, I experienced being in Disneyland until I reached a point where I could just let go of my dream, because I felt that “I’ve already been there.”
The LOA just worked beautifully and perfectly. On my last day at work before I flew off to NYC, my boss gave me extra cash of SGD 1000. Just the exact amount that I was asking for! My high school friend who stays in LA suddenly contacted me and asked me to meet up. I asked her if she would accompany me to go to Disneyland, and she said yes. A few weeks before my trip to Disneyland, my friend had to cancel because her dad had to undergo surgery, but the Universe gave me another companion! In my 2nd week in NYC, one of my classmates asked me if she could join me for the Disneyland trip.
To cut the long story short, I spent 2 full days in Disneyland California with a very close friend I met in NYC and everything I had ever visualized just came true.
Wait, there’s more to it. I went to Disneyland in the same week of Christmas, so everything there was beautifully decorated and they had special shows and lightings for Christmas. Of course, we had expected a crazy crowd in the holiday seasons, but magically it was raining on December 22nd morning, so not a lot of people went to Disneyland. We were free from the crowds the whole day. I even told my friend, can you believe it, we’re in Disneyland 3 days before Christmas and it’s like no one is here!
There were other magical things that happened there. We got a free fast-pass for three attractions so we could bypass the queue. Someone just magically appeared and gave away their fast-pass tickets to us, not for one time, but for three times! We also got a hotel room with a big glass window facing Disneyland, so every night we could watch the fireworks from our room. Everything was arranged beautifully by the Universe, and since then, I understood how the Law of Attraction works.
Fall in love with your dreams! Fall madly in love like when you were in High School and you felt like you just met your soul mate. Once you fall in love with your dreams, you will have the fuel to visualize and act. You don’t have to force yourself to do it. Your faith will also grow stronger, because, well, when you fall in love, everything is so beautiful that you’re too busy to think negatively, right?
