So the most amazing thing happened the other day. I decided I wanted to work on my gratitude so decided to buy a copy of The Magic. I’ve read it before, about two years back but it was my friend’s copy.
I had no intention of leaving the house that day but my little sister needed to be dropped at the train station to go back to her place in Johannesburg and my dad wasn’t around. I picked her up from home and dropped her at the station. On my way back I remembered that I wanted the book and some toiletries, so I made a quick turn into the mall. I got to the exclusive books section and asked whether they had a copy of the book. The guy checked and it showed that they did but he couldn’t find it on the shelf. One of his colleagues said it was on hold for another customer. I wasn’t disappointed I just asked that he check if another branch had it. I was relaxed, happy and smiling as we were chatting. He went to the storeroom and came back holding a copy in his hand and said “I searched hard and I found one!”. I was delighted. The price on the book was R226 which was perfect for me. He scanned it and asked for R175. I handed him my card and hadn’t quite heard him but he repeated it, “R175”. I was so happy as I was getting it at a discount. I walked out in absolute delight.
I walked over to the next store to buy my toiletries and had a wonderful shopping experience there as well. One of the products which is usually the most expensive on my shopping list was at a great discount. Happiness! I decided I wanted to pick a pair of leggings as well. I walked into the store and found huge signs saying “SALE, SALE, SALE”. I found a pair of leggings I liked and a pair of sweatpants. I was happy with my choices and went over to pay. The lady at the till scanned the sweatpants which were Cherokee and had been marked down to R120, but picked up as R70 on the scan! Happiness! Then she scanned the leggings which were marked down to R60 but picked up R30 on the scan, absolute joy! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The Magic was working for me from the very thought of gratitude. If that isn’t a magnificent shopping experience I don’t know what is. I swear by, and live by the laws of the Universe. Love, joy, gratitude and kindness. These are the healing powers of our world. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rhonda and The Secret team for your sharing of these secrets in the way that you have brought them to the world. I have read all the books, The Secret, The Power, Hero and The Magic which I have passed on to my sisters to rotate among each other and with my mom. I watch the movie The Secret regularly. I’m about to watch it now, in fact! I also listen to the audio book when driving.
Again, a big thank you with love.
