Magic does happen

New York, NYI'm a happy single mom of two great teenage children, a business owner and life coach in training. I currently have my business in beauty products and looking to expand to gift baskets. I'm blessed, I'm grateful and highly favored.
First, I have to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Rhonda Byrne and her team. Iâm one for optimism and discovering The Secret was just an added bonus to what I had already known. Itâs funny how this book came my way because up until last year, I never heard of it. Iâm in business for myself and many people kept telling me that I must have read The Secret because Iâm a true meaning of the book. I told them that I donât have a clue what their talking about and they looked shocked saying that you must have just been born like that; I took that as a compliment. Anyway, I had become friends with one of managers and she had the book on her desk; I ask her about it and she said that it was talked about at a meeting she was at and her sister had brought the book for her to read. I read the first few pages and put it down, keeping it in the back of mind that I really should read this book. Months go past and friend of mines asks me if I read The Secret and I told her no. She said that I really would enjoy the book and that I should read it. I told her that I would consider it and still, in the back of mind, I told myself that when I had time, I would look for the book.
The truth is The Secret found me. I was bored and wanted to watch a movie, so I decided to look on Netflix and see what they were playing. Well, low and behold, itâs the secret movie. Because I had decided to read the book and never found time to get it, I said let me watch it and boy was it a wonderful movie to watch. Everything that I had done, everything that I am, was put right there for me on the screen. The Secret gave me more of a direction to focus my attention and it has worked.
First, my daughter was home for the summer from college and was working two jobs to ensure she would have money for when she went back to school. She is such a blessing and her being at college is the greatest gift any mom could ever want. Anyway, this is her sophomore year and as we did last year, we had to take out loans. I knew this day would come, so I started preparing my credit 3 years before so that I could help continue my daughterâs education. As last year, we did the loan in July and it was denied. My heart sank because how was I going to pay $25,000 for her to finish school for this year. We had already purchased her ticket to get back to school and had already made sure she had her room and now, I wasnât sure on how she was going to finish her second year.
Well, because The Secret says to ask, believe and receive, we moved forward as though she was going to finish school. We had no idea how, but we knew she was going to finish. We took her to the airport in August with The Secret in our hearts and believed that she was going to finish. A few days later, my daughter called me and told me that they donât see the denial of the loan in the computer and that I must reapply again. I thought to myself, thatâs going to go against my credit and itâs not going to go well; but I did it anyway. And of course, it got denied. No, didnât use The Secret that time, was just in so much thinking that I forgot the rules. Anyway, a few days later, the loan people sent me an email to contact them because they may be able to work something out. Now, I had already spoken to them on the second denial and they told me that I had to pay off the bill that was preventing me from getting the loan, so I just let the email sit there because I was working on paying the bill off to the collection agency.
Paying off the collection agency was taking longer than I planed, but still, I wouldnât call the loan people for fear that they would tell me the same thing. This is in September. I had talked it over with another friend of mines and she said to just call and I told her Iâll work on it; but was just too scared to do so. At this time, I had decided to read the power and practice the magic and it was putting my outlook back to where had always been. I was more grateful and knew that love changes things. It was October when I decided to call the loan people because I knew that I could appeal the denial, but I just wanted to know how long I had because my daughter was going to need to register for classes in November, so I just wanted to know how much time I had before I couldnât apply for an appeal. Now, this is where the most magical of it all happens. I spoke with the agent from the email and he told me that I can appeal the decision because I fell under a different law for loan approval. Last year October, they changed how they check your credit for loans by checking your whole credit history verse your student loan history. I had applied for the loan in July of last year and got approved, so that means that I can get approved again based on the first loan approval. Tears ran down my face as I listened to this man say that my daughter will be able to finish school and get a refund check so that she can come home for Christmas.
For those that donât believe, please, open your mind and realize that youâre belief is what makes magic happen. Itâs not just what you do, itâs how you do it and with what thoughts and emotions you have when you do it. My daughter is in a prestigious college that is private and expensive, but no amount is greater than the Universe. Thank you Rhonda Byrne and your team for making such work, producing such a great book and for making it so easy to follow even when you forget some of the rules at times; because it was youâre book that helped me dig deeper and believer bigger.
