Over the past 3 weeks my life has fallen apart. My wife of 9 years has left me. She has found someone else. I have read The Secret and The Power. I am actively using every technique I have read about. But at times like this, for me, and maybe for some of you others out there, it’s not always easy for me to feel grateful about things when everything seems so wrong.
So, I had an idea. Instead of writing in a gratitude journal, I now make a daily Love List. Every day I write down 10 things I love deeply. Be it a color, a person, a favorite food or vacation spot. I find its easier to get on a happy receiving frequency, even excited even, when I concentrate on things I truly love, big or small.
For whatever reason, this little substitute technique seems to work great when I just can’t seem to necessarily feel grateful. Maybe others of you out there are like me, and maybe this little trick will help you too!
