Dear Secret:

I just came out of a relationship, and I was heartbroken, depressed, and gave up on love completely this year. I needed an escape, so I decided to study abroad in Italy. Knowing that Italian men are very flirty, I didn’t expect any romance. It was then that I met the man of my life at a bar. He was a handsome gentleman. We talked for hours before he asked for my number, and wanted to meet me again for dinner. Maybe it was my instinct that he was different from others, or fate, but I gave him a chance.

For the rest of my semester, we went out for dinners, and drinks. He took me around the beautiful city, and took me to see the amazing view of Florence at night, under the stars. He took me on a bike-ride around the countryside. He would surprise me with cakes, and he rushed to be by my side when I got into an accident. It was the best romance I never expected. He changed my view about love.

However, all good things must comes to an end. After four months it was time to go home. We never spoke about our feelings for each other, but we both knew that being on different sides of the world and far apart from each other, it was unrealistic to think that our love can last. We knew this day would come, but we didn’t say good bye, rather we kissed and said, “We’ll meet again.”

I never stopped thinking about him, and wondered how our love could conquer space and time. After I read The Secret, I decided to give it a try. I made a promise to myself that I will see him again this Christmas. With only two months away, I didn’t know if this was possible, but I kept my faith.

Yesterday, I received his phone call! He still remembers me, and he told me how much he misses me. He even asked me to come spend Christmas with him in Italy, or he will come to America to see me!!!

I am no longer afraid or worried anymore, because I believe that everything I desire, I deserve. I know that everything is going to be ok, as long as I believe in myself and in The Secret… the power of attraction! And I know that our love will conquer all, even when we are far apart, because I know the universe will make it happen!!!
