Lost Cat.
Submitted by: Jaime Goss
Boston,MAI am a busy mom of a 5 year old working full time and driving him to modeling, sports and hopefully acting soon.
I have been nagging my husband for the last 4 years to close the kitchen door behind him while cooking outside as we have three cats that are indoor only. This was always met with “They won’t get out”. Famous last words. I was on my way home last night when I called to see if he needed anything on my way home. He said no but his breathing was labored. I asked what was wrong and, you guessed it, he left the door open and one of our cats got loose. We live close to woods with coyotes, foxes and the neighbors have dogs. We searched for two hours and could not find him. It was getting dark and cold.
I then remembered The Secret story of the lost dog. I realized I was starting to worry the more I was searching. I then came in and went about my night as though my cat was perfectly fine and home. I pretended my cat was laying beside me in the bed and following me around the house. At 1:00 am I heard something at the door. It was my cat, not only home safe but clean, unharmed and not even cold!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
