Lost And Found.
This morning around 9.15 am I got into a cab to come to work and by 9.30 I got off near my work place. After getting out of the cab, I realized I had left my A4 brown envelope containing a friend’s passport and his visa application forms with some cash in the cab. I did not even see the registration number of the cab and all I could recall was that it was a white taxi, and the physical appearance of the driver.
I came to office and immediately we contacted the radio stations to do a public announcement and offer a reward for anyone who could return the envelope. I was asked to get a police report, so I went down and got the report and then to the radio stations to submit the report with the announcement. A colleague of mine joined me too, and he asked me to describe the driver. While describing the physical appearance, I said he was in his late 50s, or 60s and tall with dyed black hair, high cheekbones and a sharp jaw and that I had traveled in his cab once before. Then suddenly I screamed and said “It is Ravin’s father in law”! My colleague was taken back, as Ravin is another work colleague of ours and I had seen his father in law only once but all I knew was that it was Ravin’s father in law. So we contacted Ravin but his mobile was diverted and he was out of the office. I was racing against time as the envelope was in the back seat and any other passenger sitting in the same cab could just take it.
I called the office and asked my accounts staff to check the personal folders of the staff and check if Ravin had given his in-laws details. To my surprise he had, and the office contacted Ravin’s mother in law to get the father in law’s mobile number. We got the number and were calling him but he was not picking up. I just felt very positive that if I could recall the driver, I am sure I will get the envelope. Soon after, Ravin came to office and said his mobile had accidentally gone on “airplane mode”. He said his father in law does not have a white cab, but it was yellowish/orange and he showed me his father in law’s picture. When I saw the picture I had doubts for a few seconds as it was a picture from the front, but I had sat at the back and recalled the left side of the face only. But still I was just certain it was his father in law.
Ravin then also started calling his father in law. In less than 15 minutes Ravin was able to contact his father in law, who advised him that he had the envelope and will come and drop it to the office. I just could not stop saying “thank you”. I felt so much gratitude and no one could believe that I was able to recall the driver when I had only met him once and today was the second time. Soon the father in law came with the envelope and I went and held his hand and gave him his reward money and thanked him. He was not taking the money but I gave it to him forcefully as I had assured the finder I would give a $100.00 reward. Then he told me that after dropping me off he drove 3 miles to have tea. Then as he was leaving, a passenger came and sat in front. While reversing he looked back and saw the envelope. I just could not believe my ears.
It was just like the universe answered my pleas of help! I recalled a white taxi and a gentleman wearing a green coloured shirt. But this gentleman did not have a white taxi and had a checkered, short sleeve shirt on but he had my envelope. I just found this truly unbelievable and I cannot stop saying “thank you”. Now it is coming back to me, that in the cab, I was logged onto The Secret website and reading it and visualizing my vision board. I also wrote my list of things for the next 30 days! No wonder I did not see the registration plate of the cab. But the Universe heard me and the law of attraction got me my envelope. I am just so grateful!
Thank you so much!
