Lost 11 KG In Months.

I had read The Secret a few years ago, but I did not practice it. I did not try to and I didn’t understand it. Life happened and things kept happening. Soon after the pandemic I gained a lot of weight and didn’t even realize it. Then one day I saw myself in a few pictures that made me question, when did that happen? Unknowingly, slowly, I gained so much that it started showing up. I almost gave up on clothes that didn’t fit me anymore, I felt self-conscious and more but I didn’t do much about it. I travel for work and often we compromise on food habits and schedules which further adds to the problem.
It was April 2023, when one day I asked my doctor if he could check my weight. To my surprise, the number shook me. I am 5’4″ tall and my weight was now at 73.4 kg! Not a very good thing for my overall health. My doctor didn’t say anything other than to try not to get stressed.
I just had to do something. Something that was not too much but would work. So I Googled a lot of things about various diets, habits, exercising, and walking but everything I Googled was being questioned in my head. Will this even work?
I realized the problem was not my weight. It was in my mind, my thinking towards what I was doing. I made a plan for myself based on a lot of research and something that just felt right. I included juicing and mindful eating, walking, and eating by 7 p.m. I did all those things for the next 4 months religiously. I adopted an intermittent fasting plan with a 16:8 eating cycle.
However, what I know worked for me was not just my schedule or habit changes but my belief that everything I was doing or adopting as my new lifestyle was working for me. I just registered it consciously first so that when it became a subconscious habit, I did not even realize it. Yes, I checked my weight again in August 2023 and my weight, to everyone’s surprise, was 63.1 KG. Consistency with my belief in everything I was doing and following worked wonders. What it brought to me as a bonus was increased stamina, a toned body, better immunity, and positivity.
Believe first that reducing weight is possible, you can achieve the weight you wish for and you can easily do it. Be consistent, believe in yourself, don’t give up, and be sure that it will work and that it really is working. I am so grateful!
