Well, I shifted from Salem to Gurgaon last October. I was born and brought up in Salem. Our shifting came suddenly, and I had to leave my school, which gave me all that I wanted; courage, confidence, exposure, etc. It’s very dear to my heart. Me and my friends had become very close at this time, and relationships with people had improved a lot, which weren’t that good before. My teachers started looking forward to catch me for every important work. Over all by this time, I had a very good position at school. And now I had to leave this place for ever. I still miss ma friends, school teachers, everything, loads and loads.

Well, now its been eight months since I shifted, but I never got an opportunity to go down to Salem. My dad wasn’t making any plans to take me there either. Every time I asked him he was ready with a ‘NO’. It was getting very tough to convince him to take me to Salem, even though I got holidays. I had promised my friends that I would make it during my summer vacations, but it just got tougher day by day.

I had got this book “THE SECRET” from one of my friends in school. He knew I loved to read books, and so before the vacations he gave me three books, and one among them was this book “THE SECRET”. I don’t know why I was attracted to read this book first. I just couldn’t wait. I left all my school work and began reading the book. When I began to read it I got damn emotional. I was filled with joy and happiness. My eyes filled with tears. Seriously, it was so tempting that I read the whole book at once. I went crazy.

Then I decided to use and apply it in my life. Small things which I thought, turned into reality, and finally I decided to fulfill my dream to go down to Salem. I started telling my friends that I was coming there on the 26th, though nothing was going my way in my discussions with Dad. I stuck with the date 26th as my arrival there. I even told my friends here that I was going. But still Dad wasn’t convinced.

I had belief, and felt receiving my dream. I wrote in my diary in a sequence ,”I WANNA GO TO SALEM ON THE 26TH JUNE 2008.” Then, “I AM GOING TO SALEM ON THE 26TH JUNE 2008.” And finally, “I WENT TO SALEM ON THE 26TH JUNE 2008.” I wrote this continuously for about 3 pages.

Until the end (ie. the 25th night) my plans kept failing, but I never gave up. That night one of my friends in Salem sent me a message saying, “I will talk to your dad the next morning.” So many friends had failed to convince Dad. I just had one last hope, and had to trust in it.

The next morning, the 26th June 2008, my friend called up at 8am and spoke to my Dad. I even started packing things for the trip. My Dad was filled with deep thoughts, and I tried to make sure that all will be ok, and asked him to send me. And guess what, after loads of thinking he turned into positive. We went to the agency and booked my tickets for that day! At around 4pm I had boarded my flight!!!!!

Well, it turned out to be the most memorable moments of my life. Yes, my friends, teachers, were all astonished to find me there, and I was given a very warm welcome at school. I had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!! Though it was just for 2 days…………
