A Little Easter Magic!
As I was walking home from town the other day, I happened to pass by a beggar outside a shopping centre on the high street. After walking a few feet I stopped: I couldn’t help but think of the parable of the Good Samaritan and knew that I had to offer him something! I went back and asked him what he wanted and then went off to get some food for him.
He came from Yorkshire, just like my grandmother, and had the same eyes and facial structure as my cousin. He had been working in building construction since the age of eighteen and was made redundant only five years ago. He is now 64.
It was then and there that I decided I had to get him a book from The Secret series! I went running along to the other end of the high street to find him one, and it turned out to be “How The Secret Changed My Life”. I thought this was a great choice as it is full of real examples.
When I was in the bookshop, I decided to open the page at a random example and read a story. It was one about a man who decided he wanted a coin with the date 1996 on it. That’s the year I was born!
I must have been gone about 20 minutes, and by the time I got back, he had disappeared, but his things were still there so I knew he’d be back soon. I decided to leave the book on top of his cushion as there is nothing quite as magical as a present which seemingly pops out of thin air! I was a tiny bit apprehensive though as I didn’t want anyone else to take it.
I decided to walk through the shopping centre and check when I came back out. However, when I was in the centre, I lost all doubts about him finding it or rather it finding him. I saw a big poster up with the numbers 96 on it! I was beaming with sheer joy and just knew that it would reach him, and indeed change his life!
Happy Easter, everyone!
