I have recently been re-reading The Secret and just wanted to share something that happened to me yesterday.

Since I have been reading The Secret, I had begun to wish for a “Vision Board” like John Assaraf wrote about in the book, The Secret. A vision board is a board that you put up on the wall so that you can post pictures of the things you want to bring into your life. John tells a great story in the book about how the vision boards worked for him and that he had actually moved into the VERY house that he had a picture of. As I was reading, I wished for a vision board myself and I could visualize it totally. It would be blue (because blue is my favorite color) and it would be one of those boards that you could easily put pictures on. You know, the ones with criss-crossed pieces of ribbon on them.

Very shortly after I mentally pictured my board, I started to get a hunch to visit our local antique store. I thought it was strange as I usually didn’t find anything I want there. Any antiques I find, I usually find at another store several miles away. I kept feeling like I should go to our local store though (this was last week) and I couldn’t shake the feeling. It was like something or someone was telling me to go and the feeling just would not leave me alone.

Unfortunately I did shake the feeling though, and went on with my daily life, busy with other things.

Fast forward to yesterday. My partner and I were on our way back from shopping when she asked me at the last minute if I wanted to stop by the local antique store (it was on the way home). I said yes, and although it was closed when we first stopped in, we came back 30 minutes later and it was open.

Do I have to tell you the rest of the story? Yes, inside that store, behind some framed pictures sitting on the floor, was my vision board! EXACTLY the way I pictured it! I picked it up and it was in PERFECT condition (and only $8!).

I told my partner about my hunch and she was amazed.

I loved this as it let me know that I was on the right track. I have seen The Secret work many times over in my life and I am diligently practicing what I am reading in the book.

So whatever you need, keep the faith that you have it. I know that if I can realize a vision board, I can ask for and have anything else I desire.
