Karachi, PakistanA medical Student, in love with medicine!
Hello, I am a 23 year old girl from Karachi, studying to be a doctor.
Four years ago, when I just completed high school, I was a completely broken, bruised girl. I had hardly any friends at School and passed my final exams with just an average result. Initially it was my dream to do Engineering, but after receiving only rejections, I decided to sit back for a year and decide on my options.
It was then that I read The Secret, and somehow, it simply occurred to me that being a doctor was the most suitable Profession for me. This time I didn’t even need to worry or stress whether I would make into medical college or not. I just knew it deep within my heart.
I kept on following the practices mentioned in the book, and applied for a place. Despite my not so good exam results, I made it! First month in college was the most beautiful period of my life. Everyone remarked that I was glowing.
Studies got harder, and I found it difficult to keep up, until I read The Magic.
Today gratitude has truly changed my life.
All the bad feelings and complexes that were still within me have been washed away. I have discovered a new passion for my subject, and am now more than ever committed towards improving the quality of people’s health. There are just so many things to be grateful in life, and never for a moment do I feel any lesser feeling.
Moreover, my mother, who was initially very skeptical of The Secret, and has never even read The Magic, and to my great surprise, mentions the thousand of things she is grateful for in her conversations!
I feel immense love for life, and my Country, no matter how it is. Today I am grateful for all the teachers from my school, as well as the people who gave me a hard time, for making me what I am today.
And as it is said, you see the law of attraction everywhere, so recently a very popular drama was aired on the Pakistani Network, Zindagi Gulzar Hai ( Life is a bed of flowers). It is about a girl who just sees many problems in her life and develops a negative attitude, only to discover that life is actually very beautiful.
Today I am so full with love, energy and a purpose, that I would also say that life is a bed of flowers.
And one more thing, my favourite lines from the Holy Koran are: “If you want success, realize that success has arrived. Doubtless to say, Allah has granted you a full and open success.”
