Last year when the pandemic hit the world, my company was not ready. Yeah, everything, everyone, and every company was not ready. That was why my company came to a decision and laid off more than 70% of the workforce. I will not forget the day of the announcement because it was also my second anniversary working for the company and my birthday was just a few days later. Think of that timing, it was a lot. I was renting a house and living alone in that house. I celebrated my birthday alone with worry in my heart because of the bad news that I just faced.

So I went back to my family and stayed with them. I stayed with my father right before he passed away. Yes, he passed away just 3 months after I had lost my job. Of course, 2020 was a real bull for so many people but I did not dwell on the misfortunes that I had encountered. I prayed hard every day and every night. I also did meditation. I focused on other things like e-commerce business and trading in the stock market.

Then I started rereading The Secret which I had bought in 2014. I changed my attitude and intensified my prayers. I thought of only positive things and I wrote in my diary every day as if I was already achieving what I wanted in my life. It became my daily routine.

Then one day, after countless interviews and submissions of my job application online, I finally received some very good news! It was a job offer from my dream company! Yes! I am back in the banking industry! The offer was even better than the one from my previous job. The benefits are also much better. The schedule is great as it is normal hours and the location is just a stone’s throw away from my house. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am really grateful that I did not give up and that God had delayed some things because he was preparing something better than what I had been asking for. He really has the best plans for each one of us, just wait for his perfect timing. And while I was waiting, I made sure to do the things that I really loved, even if they were really simple. Like working out regularly, reading a book every day, writing my journal, meditating, and praying as if God was right in front of me. Training my mind to be optimistic, patient, and of course, trying my best to become a better version of myself each and every day. My mantra is to be fearless and brave with no holds barred. For with God, everything is possible with good intentions. I manifested my dream job in my dream company. We are all healthy and blessed. I want to share my story with everybody to inspire everyone to never doubt themselves and also to never doubt God’s capabilities.
