Just as I thought!
After living a couple years in NYC and working as a nanny, I heard my intuition telling me it was time to move on. I decided to head out west to San Fran, despite the fact that I’d never even been there before. In the face of this move, there were a few elements of concern to me in terms of how my life would change and how I’d manage to thrive. My main concern, however, was with getting a great job as a nanny, so I focused my intentions on that. I told myself “I will find a wonderful family to work for who will compensate me generously within the first week of my arrival.” I focused very intensely on this thought before I went to bed every night, and whenever I got worried about my finances and the big move.
Prior to leaving NYC I was told repeatedly by San Fran nanny agencies to call them when I arrive rather than make any contacts in preparation. I managed to schedule one interview with an agency for the day after my arrival in the city. I went to the interview and was blown away by the helpfulness and warmth of the staff. I left the office feeling that they had confidence in me and had a list of 5 families I could set up interviews with immediately. A couple days later I went on my first interview and met a wonderful family who I immediately clicked with. Throughout the course of the week I visited with the children and was offered the position, all in under a week since I’d arrived! On top of just being offered the job, when I walked in to sign our contract they handed me a sheet of paper that, point for point, had every aspect of my dream nanny job listed on it in terms of salary, vacations, etc.
I got EXACTLY what it was I’d been wishing for and in the timeline I’d envisioned too!
When I take a step back and look at this amazing feat I’m inspired to deal with every other aspect of my life this way. Now I just need the perfect apartment 😉
