My story starts even before I knew anything about The Secret. I had been working for the Government for many years. I was tired, worn out, and depressed a lot of the time. My daughter and her husband had given guardianship of their two daughters to us, so on top of working daily, I would come home and start my “second” job of taking care of the girls. I was desperate, so I started concentrating on getting an early retirement (at age 50). I thought about it and believed that it would come true, and sure enough in January 2007 my boss gave me the good news that I could retire. What a relief that was! I could take care of my granddaughters at home. It was a win/win situation for all concerned.

Then my sister told me about The Secret. So I bought the book and was amazed that I had been doing exactly what the book tells us we should do. I bought the movie also and have tried to live my life based on The Secret ever since. The Secret is the only explanation that I have for the positive changes in my life. I have used it to improve our finances, and now I will use it to improve relationships with my daughter and step-children.
