I first read The Secret when I was in my early twenties, and quite frankly, I found it to be extremely campy and unrealistic, so I disregarded all the valuable teachings it had to offer. Then, earlier this year, when I found myself feeling stagnant and, well, “stuck” where I was in life, financially (money was tight), spiritually, and emotionally, I picked the book up again, but this time I was WOWED.

I was so overcome with hope and with gratitude in the knowledge that my husband and I had all the power in the world to harness to our advantage, that I immediately shared it with him and asked him to read it. He shared in my excitement as we planned for everything we were to manifest in our lives. We would sit there grinning at each other when we thought about all the marvelous things to come.

I sat down and wrote a list of everything I intended to manifest. I wrote “I am so happy and grateful for my husband to have passed his upcoming exam. I am so happy and grateful for financial wealth and prosperity. I am so happy and grateful for each of our fulfilling and prosperous careers. I am so happy and grateful for that romantic vacation we are taking this winter. I am so happy and grateful for sustained passion in our marriage. I am so happy and grateful for inner peace.”

Little by little it happened. First, we received a refund check in the mail from our insurance company. Next, I discovered $1k in savings bonds that I had yet to cash in. Then, my husband passed his very difficult exam. He was able to land a job that had previously seemed out of his reach. We booked our romantic second honeymoon for this winter. And THEN we won a very large sum of money in a sweepstakes that I had entered every day for many months! It all feels so surreal and I pinch myself every day that this is our life.

We truly ARE so happy and grateful for the miracles that have transpired since reading The Secret. Our future is so bright because the possibilities for happiness are absolutely limitless! We are more in love than ever and positively giddy about where our life together has taken us. I feel more centered than I ever have before, which has provided such a sense of peace and joy that I know is unshakable.

The bottom line is that this has all been a miracle because it is not our doing; it is God’s doing. We just found a way to allow him to work THROUGH us as we allow ourselves to channel His abundant blessings!
