This is only a simple example, but I know it is The Secret in action.

I came across The Secret book in a book swap in a local hotel and took it home, skimmed it and put it away. A couple of weeks ago I thought I would give reading it another go. I’m still only halfway through it, but my car broke down a day or so ago and I am not able to get to work without it as it is over 40 mile round trip on a no public transport route, and I have to do a night class at another centre another 7 miles after that one night a week. So when my car broke down I called the rescue services, thanking them for their excellent service before the guy showed up.

The service was indeed excellent, but my car was unable to be fixed immediately, meaning I would lose three or four days’ pay by not going to work. Never mind, I thought, I will work from home (this has never been done before) and my colleague will cover my Monday night class (though I knew I could not contact her until the Monday anyway). I decided to email her at work so that she would find it at work first thing Monday. But, I reasoned, that was a little bit short notice for her to cover. Then, the phone rang, and it was her! By chance she had checked her work emails from home, which I didn’t realise she was able to do, and she said of course she would do my class.

My boss also called after I contacted him and said I could work from home, before I had even asked him, meaning I do not lose any pay, and may even do more work this way as I will not be distracted. Of course I have told them both how grateful I am!

I think I was meant to find the book in the first place. I know it works. I am looking forward to using The Secret to transform other areas of life! Thank you!
