I had read The Secret about 7 years ago, and lately I have been following the Facebook posts.

Last Friday I had an appointment to get my finger prints taken as part of the process of becoming a U.S. Citizen. I had driven to the location of the USCIS center the Sunday before to get familiar with the area therefore I had to input the address from the letter on my GPS.

On Friday, the day of the appointment, I jumped in my car and before leaving my house I said to myself let me make sure that I got everything. I got my ID ready and I started to look for the letter and I couldn’t find it.

Now, in order for them to get my finger prints I needed to show that letter. I thought I had left it somewhere in my car or my purse but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I started to freak out so I called my fiance and asked him to come home and help me look. He stayed outside checking in the car and I went in the house. I had a box with books and papers and I had made a folder with all my paperwork for the citizenship and left it in that box. I grabbed the folder and saw The Secret book and I quickly said, “Wouldn’t it be nice if this actually work right now”? And I imagined my fiance finding the letter and giving it to me. I took a deep breath and went back outside.

I would say that probably 4-5 minutes had gone by when he went to the passenger side. He opened the glove compartment and he saw something stuck inside so he took it out carefully and there it was!

My wish was received and it was only a matter of believing.
