People come and go in your life. We do not know why we meet certain people but we often assume there is a reason behind everything. I lived The Secret. After reading the book I followed all the tasks. I wrote down all the attributes that I wanted to have in a partner. I even made sure I made extra space in my driveway for another car. I also slept on one side of my bed. I dated and I would think, is this the one? They were definitely not the ‘one’. So I gave up and I quit searching.

A couple of months went by and I decided to try it again with an online dating service. I logged in and saw a familiar face. He was a friend from college. We had hung out together back in 1998. At that time it had been nothing romantic but more like pals in passing. I reached out to him and the next thing you know, it was him all this time.
