It Is Never Too Early To Thank!
Submitted by: Ashley H
Albuquerque, NMI am a 14 year old Arikara/Hidatsa young woman. I got to school in Santa Fe, NM and I am an athlete and good student. We were a poor family, in spirit and finance. My mom is a single mom raising my brother and I.
My mom introduced my brother and I to The Secret.
We lived in a small casita in Santa Fe and she wasn’t happy. She was sick and had no money. But she believed that better and brighter days were in her future, but never thought about it coming and being right now.
One day we got word that we had to move and move now. She fell into sadness and as her children, so did we. Long story short, we got a nice apartment and everything we needed. She was so grateful!
About a month ago she held a vision board party and we all made vision boards while watching the DVD of The Secret. My vision board had a bike, an iPod and a picture of a cool car. We read The Secret and The Power and have our own gratitude journals. We write 10 things we are grateful for every day.
Today we went to the hot tub and every square on the sidewalk my mom made us say one thing to be grateful for before we could advance. It was a race and it was fun!
I guess my point is, through my vision board I got my bike and my iPod!!
Somehow my mom gets more checks in the mail than bills. She screams thank you while driving and finds joy in every day. She has not won the lottery yet but she knows she will. But she needs to believe she already has.
She no longer worries about money or how to feed us. We have a full fridge and everyday we find MORE to be grateful for.
I thought I would get my iPod way later, but I have it. I have it because I truly believed I ALREADY had it.
Also, I wanted a puppy in our new home and I found one abandoned in a discount store parking lot!
I am only 14 yrs old. Because of my mom and her discovery of The Secret my life is so abundant and joyful. We feed the homeless every weekend, march the streets of Albuquerque looking for anyone hungry, cold or sad. She brings her light as do my brother and I.
Oh and my brother always wanted to go to Baton Rouge but had no money. His friend needed his help and said he would pay for gas and food. Right this minute he is on his way to Baton Rouge.
There is so much more to my story but if I told everything I am grateful for, it would NEVER end!!!!
Thank you Rhonda for falling into her life, my life, my family’s life.
There is no time frame, it is only how hard you believe and “thank about”. I wish this abundance on everyone.
Can you imagine how my little young life is going to be?
I can and it is everything I dreamed about. I know it because I already have it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
