I was introduced to The Secret a few years ago and I totally believe it! I have so many stories to share about living The Secret and the success it has brought to my life. But today I want to share a funny story.

I love writing down my gratitude and what I want to accomplish. I have “thank you for ” notes all over my work space. Every Christmas time, our office closes for 2 weeks. So a few months before, I started planning what to do during that time. My husband was recently laid off so we didn’t plan to go anywhere. I didn’t want the kids to be bored, so one of my notes has “Thank you for our free Disneyland trip this Christmas.” I kept visualizing it and even have my kids to the same thing. My daughter’s visualization was her hugging a Disney Princess at the park.

When my vacation finally started, I didn’t “see” my notes every day because I left it at work. I was really busy during the holiday and I didn’t really think about my notes much. The day after Christmas I didn’t get up early with the kids since I was on vacation too. By the time I got up, they were already playing with the toys they received the day before. As I was making my breakfast, my daughter shouted “Mom, look I’m in Disneyland!” As it turned out, they got the Xbox 360 Kinect Disneyland game. It’s a game that makes you feel like you are actually in Disneyland and you can even hug a Disney princess! Then my I remembered my notes and started laughing. Yup, I did get my free Disneyland trip! I guess in the future I just have to be more specific…
