My family knows that I’ve been reading The Secret book for the last four months or so. I’ve bought the DVD also, and watch it periodically.

With my husband and myself out of work for the past six months, we’ve been living off his unemployment benefits. To say the least money has been tight, but we manage. Well, recently we got behind in our rent and were facing eviction, and I got really down about it. As I was lying in bed I wanted some ice cream, so I asked my daughter to just sit the ice cream out of the freezer so it can thaw some. Instead she brought me a bowl with all the toppings that I was going to put on it. I was only thinking it in my head, because it’s not something that I eat the same way all the time. When I asked her how did she know what I wanted on it, she said: I didn’t know. See Mom, the Secret really does work. So don’t give up – things are going to work out for us.

That was all I needed to change my focus and realize that everything makes perfect sense. I really practice what I’ve been reading to change my way of thinking. God bless.
