I saw the Oprah Show almost a year ago, but didn’t quite understand the book. It wasn’t until the beginning of this year that I was feeling extremely depressed and couldn’t find the solution, nothing making me happy, that I posted my problem in Yahoo. Someone that I have never met sent me the link for “The Secret”. I immediately recognized the title – it was the same book I saw on TV.

I bought the book just last Friday, and that same day I started to see changes in my life. I work at a hotel, and being in customer service could sometimes be really frustrated. Lately all my guests had been moody or had something bad to say about the property. Well, as I was reading the book I had a thought… I wrote down in a piece of paper “Happy Customers” and drew 2 smiley faces saying “Thank you”. And guess what? All my customers that night were in such a good mood, everyone had something nice to say, and even complimented my work. I was so happy because I know I attracted those customers.

Today I had been craving ice cream all day. When I got to my work I wrote down in a piece of paper, “Strawberry Ice Cream”. 4 hours later, the owner of the hotel, who is rarely there, walked into the front desk with a paper bag, which he gave us. We opened the bag and it was 2 cups of ice cream – one vanilla and one STRAWBERRY!!! It was one for each of us!

Now I know that it does work. My next step is to marry the love of my life and I know I will.
