I used The Secret recently to get something I’ve always dreamed of getting. That would be a trip to Disney World. I’ve used used it for little things, but this would be the ultimate thing that made me know for a fact that it really worked.

One day my mom had gotten off the phone with my aunt and she told me that their church was paying for my aunt and my uncle to go to Disney World. And right when I heard that I got a little upset and kind of freaked out, because I really wanted it to happen to me and it didn’t. I didn’t give up though, I still pictured myself meeting the princesses and meeting Mickey and Minnie. I wanted it so bad I could taste it, and I could feel the Florida heat, which is a lot like Texas heat so it wasn’t too hard to imagine, and just felt happy to be in the happiest place on earth.

I was sewing in our craft room later that day and my mom walked in and wanted to talk to me. She told me she talked to my dad about Disney World. I didn’t think much of it since he was recently laid off and my mom wasn’t working as much as she used to and my job wasn’t giving me the money I needed to fund a trip. She said she had called my aunt, which I thought was weird. “We’re going to Disney World!” She then said. And I lit up with excitement.

I began packing that night and the trip wasn’t for another month.

It didn’t really hit me until the day I stepped foot into the Magic Kingdom that my dream had come true and that The Secret really does work. It may take a while, but it really does work. I constantly look at my photo of me, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse. I get teary-eyed, too!
