I am from Guatemala and I am living in Hungary as an exchange student in a music school. Here is my story:

I was in my room looking at Facebook and suddenly I saw a picture of a girl with a Guatemalan singer that I liked so much and her name was Gaby Moreno. At that moment I thought, “I will meet her someday.”

On Monday I was looking at Facebook again when I saw that Gaby Moreno had posted that she was giving a tour around Europe and she was coming that Saturday to Hungary! It was Monday and I didn’t have any tickets or anything so I sent Gaby Moreno a message through her fan page on Facebook and asked her how I could get the tickets. Then I started to search the internet and I found the webpage where I could buy the tickets but I did not buy them because I wasn’t sure about it yet.

Then on Wednesday, I returned to the page but there were just like 3 seats available and they were just in the front row so I bought a seat right in the center! That same night I checked my inbox and the singer had actually replied to me! She told me “Oh, I can put you on my guest list”. I was like, wow, and I told her “No, I had already bought a ticket and I am in the first row but can I get to know you?” and so she answered, “Of course! After the concert, I will greet you.”

I went to the concert and grabbed my Guatemalan flag and she saw it and smiled at me! At the end of the concert, I went in front of a door made of glass and I could see her on the other side of the door but the guards didn’t let me in so I put up my Guatemalan flag and she saw it and came out to greet me!! I couldn’t believe that I had just met this amazing Guatemalan singer in the least expected place, Hungary!
