My mom is a nurse at a local hospital, and they did a program where people could visit severely sick kids. I’m the only one in my family that knows the Secret, so my mom doesn’t. She wanted me to volunteer to talk to a few kids, but I did not want to! I didn’t want to spend my weekend talking to a bunch of sick kids. But she changed my mind when she told me about a little 9-year-old boy who had cancer, and only had a couple weeks to live. I walked into his room, and he sat there just looking sad. I had no idea what to say to a little kid who knew he was about to die. So I introduced myself, and he told me about all of his surgeries, and explained the pain he was going through. He was so sweet, and I almost broke into tears. But after about 10 minutes of talking to him, I noticed how selfish I was being. I wasn’t sure if he was the one causing his cancer. I don’t know whose fault it is really, but I did not want this little kid to die.

I told him to think about a happy time in his life, and he closed his eyes and smiled, then I told him to imagine himself back at his house, happy and healthy, and he did. I told him to keep telling himself he was healthy. He asked me why and I told him ” Cause if you do, then you will be cured.” He asked me “How do you know?” I didn’t wanna explain this whole thing, because he was way too young to understand. I answered, “Because God loves you and wants you to be with your family. He has faith in you, and you can be healthy if you have faith in yourself.” He didn’t understand. He smiled and I repeated it with him 50 times. “I am healthy.”
I left the room, and hoped the kid took that to heart.

The next day, after my mom came home late she came up to me to tell a story. Guess what she says. ” You remember that little kid you visited in the hospital with cancer?” I smiled. ” His cancer completely disappeared. Doctors found out this morning, they can’t even explain it.”

Now me and the kid chat through email every week, and he has stayed healthy since. (:
