I heard about The Secret through the film in 2006, and then I read The Secret book. It was hard to grasp it at the beginning, so I bought the DVD and the book, at first in Spanish. Then I rewatch the movie and reread the book again and again.

I was alone, and I remained single until the age of 49. I used to have a poor spiritual life, but with The Secret and some other help through additional films and books, I switched my mindset to a more spiritual life. I used to be a womanizer, and I changed that addiction. I used to be addicted to porn, and I also was able to leave that all that. I really moved away from all that stuff, and I started creating this space for my future soul mate, not just a wife. I wanted the whole package, my complete soul mate.

So, by the post COVID pandemic time, I was in the United States, and I moved back to Colombia. I started to work as a schoolteacher in the countryside, and I remember that every day when I was passing by the school gate, I visualized a Christian woman with blond hair coming with me. In my apartment, I started to leave space in the closet for another person. I used to talk to my soul mate, even though I was living alone, and I even used to sleep on the right side of the bed in order to leave space for my future wife.

Nothing special happened in the forthcoming days; I was not on Tinder or any other matching site. I was not going out with anyone. I was really alone and avoiding any date or anything else; I was preparing the space for her.

One fine day, I arrived at the school, and just as I did every day, I went to the preschool section to say hello. And to my surprise, one of my co-workers introduced me to this tall, beautiful, spectacular woman with blond hair, the new pre-kindergarten teacher. Her name was Adriana, and as soon as I saw her, I knew she was my soul mate! Right from the very beginning, everything flew together. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Four months later, we got married, and now, at the time I am writing this story, we have been together for about 20 months. We renew our love every second. We are so happy and so connected that I feel that the Universe not only sent me my wife, but it also sent me my other half, “the rest of me,” my soul mate.
