I saw parts of “The Secret” on the internet and I was pretty hooked on it. I needed something to help me understand a little about myself and power and happiness.

I was driving to Huntington, West Virginia, on a college visit with my two best friends. We arrived late and stayed in a hotel. We explored the hotel and the city for a little, and we were just feeling good and having a good time. Then, we sat down in the lobby. There were four chairs and we each took a seat in one. From that point on, we had the best conversation ever. We starting talking about regrets and things we disliked, but then we started talking about the greatness in life. We realized that we didn’t have any regrets at all, and we don’t need to focus on negatives. The simple fact that we were just alive and enjoying ourselves was the greatest feeling we ever had. We talked for hours about how easy life can be if you focus on the positives, do what you want to do, and love. I was feeling something so amazing inside. I was truly feeling this energy that lifted me up mentally, and it was the most incredible thing I have ever felt. I was understanding the meaning and power of life as well as the simplicity and complexity! I WAS LIVING!!!

There is no better way to view life then to just stop and take a look around you. I hope everyone can feel that feeling I had that day and carry it with you. I will never forget that night and I will always understand how great it is to FEEL alive.
