Hello all,
This is Suvra here. This is how I came to understand the power of THE SECRET.
After working for two years in an industry, I got frustrated and decided to come back to academics. Fortunately, I got an offer of admission from McMaster University. I started as a masters student, but decided to take a transfer to the Ph.D. program. For this I had to clear two comprehensive exams. I studied really hard for the exams but after writing the exam, I didn’t expect much.
After one week the result was out and I was not successful. I felt really bad and couldn’t believe that I failed the exam. For few days I was not in a good frame of mind and I started behaving in a different way. I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat and couldn’t even talk to my parents and friends. The word ‘failure’ was disturbing me a lot as it was the first time I ever failed in any exam.
The only good thing was that I still had three more attempts.
I then started describing my situation to my friends, thinking that their suggestions might be helpful. One of my friends then suggested that I watch The Secret movie. He told me that it would change my life and asked me to follow its dialogues carefully.
I decided to take his suggestion and one fine morning I saw the movie.
I carefully listened to the dialogues and even noted them down on a piece of paper. I saw the movie twice on that same day.
From that day my life was totally changed and I completely became a different person. I started following The Secret. I clearly wrote on a piece of paper what my aim was and what I wanted to achieve. I also created a vision picture of mine. Every day I used to look at the vision picture and the paper. I started to feel good and started to smile a lot more than before.
Believe me, the more I followed The Secret, the more I came to understand it and in return it brought me more happiness. I then understood how the law of attraction works.
Everyday I used to close my eyes for a few minutes and say to myself that it’s possible for me to crack the comprehensive exam. I used to visualize having what I already want and feel the feelings of already having it. Then I used to come out of that and focus on what I was grateful for already and enjoy it and then just release it to the Universe.
After two months, I wrote my comprehensive exams again and believe me, this time I was very confident. I did very, very well. The result was positive and I was promoted to the Ph.D. program. I am now a Ph.D. student and I still keep thinking how depressed I was after failing on the first attempt and how The Secret showed me the path of success. I still follow The Secret and will do so till the end of my journey.
