How I Quit Smoking!

Cape Girardeau, MOA strong person who is always looking for her next adventure.
I had watched The Secret for the second time in the winter of 2012. I had first watched it in 2007 but hadn’t tried to make any major changes in my life.
Actually, a friend reintroduced me to The Secret and having watched it, I decided that I was really going to improve my life.
The first thing I knew I needed to do was focus on being a happier person, which I did through the power of positive thinking.
The next thing I wanted to focus on was my health. I had tried quitting smoking various times and the longest I went was six months. I knew focusing on wanting to quit smoking wasn’t going to work for me. Therefore, I concentrated on making changes to become healthier.
One thing that I would do was ask the universe to send me a message on ways to become healthier. Right away, a message about meditation, popped up on my computer and this was literally minutes after asking the divine creators of the universe for help. So I read up on the benefits of meditation.
One of the benefits happened to be quitting smoking because it had to do with the brain automatically being prone to making better life choices. Honestly, I didn’t buy into it because I didn’t know how meditation could make much of a difference besides reducing stress. However, I was amazed at the results.
Never once had I focused on quitting smoking, just on becoming healthier, but after three days, I had indeed quit smoking.
And when I say that, I meant with no cravings and it has been a year and a half since I had a cigarette and I still have no desire to smoke and I still continue meditate at least once a day.
I recently started doing chakra meditations and guess what, three days after working on my root chakra, I no longer have a fear of driving.
I hope my story inspires others to make changes in their lives and follow their intuition in making the right choices for how they can improve themselves and their life.
Namaste, everyone.
