How I First Tested The Law Of Attraction.
I want to tell you a story about my first ever serious test of the law of attraction.
It was the autumn of 2010. I just moved to Lithuania to study at the university there, and that was a time when many things were shifting for me. One of my favorite things was listening to a lot to the music by a German rock-band called Scorpions. They are still my favorite band after 10 years, by the way! The way their music helped me to heal my depression back then was just incredible. So I kind of had this wish in the back of my mind to see them in person one day and to say how grateful I was. However, I didn’t give too much attention to these thoughts. Until one day.
That was the day that I saw the news on the Scorpions’ website that they were announcing a few signing sessions in Germany. I had a feeling that it could be a great chance for me. Everything about it looked perfect: an opportunity to get their autographs, to express my gratitude to them in person and to visit Germany, the country I had felt so connected to in my life. But one question seemed to take the happiness out of this bright picture: “How am I supposed to do it?” I checked all the possible means of going there that I could think of: plane, bus, train, and all of them were either crazily expensive or barely affordable for me. Even the cheapest option from this list meant I only had enough money to buy a roundtrip ticket, but no money for food or a place to stay. Speaking of which, where would I stay? How would I manage everything in a country I’ve never been to? I just started to learn German, so my level would not be enough to communicate, and my English is not that good either. How would I be able to do all the things I want and have to do? So I felt really bad, really quickly. The sudden inspiration that made me feel so bright at first now seemed a totally impossible thing.
Then I calmed down and decided that I had just read the book “The Secret”, and it inspired me a lot. So why don’t I try to do things right by doing the steps this book describes? I have nothing to lose. And if it works, this will be 100% proof that this law of attraction thing really works!
So I decided to go for it.
I still had more than a week till the date of the signing session I wanted to visit. I had no idea how I was going to do it but I decided to trust the Universe. I visualized, I tried to feel “as if”, telling myself every 3 minutes or so with total delight: “Dasha, you are going to the Scorpions’ signing session to Hamburg! That’s incredible!!!” It all made me feel really great!
Just a day and a half later someone told me about a low-cost airline that flies from Lithuania to Germany. That was the very first time in my life that I had heard about such a thing. I checked the possibilities, and voila! I bought a roundtrip ticket to Germany for less than $40!! Unimaginable! The next day some of my classmates were talking about CouchSurfing, explaining everything about it, and I was totally inspired to try it. And guess what?! That very evening I found a perfect person for me who agreed to host me during my trip! So no need to pay for a hotel room. It was also a great opportunity to meet locals who can explain everything to me about their country. Shortly after, I realized that my new friend from Vilnius was going to Germany on the same plane as I was, and as she had been there before and lived in Germany for some time, she would be happy to be my guide on the road.
So when the day to go to Germany came, everything went prefect! The road was great, everything was explained to me, the family that hosted me and their friends were awesome, I socialized a lot, walked around the city and took a lot of pictures. And at last! I went to see Scorpions, had a vinyl signed, had a quick chat with them and so many impressions that I had tears of joy in my eyes! I came back to Lithuania really inspired and happy. And the main thing was, it happened!!! I had manifested it! So it totally, totally works!
A week or two after these events took place, I had this thought in my head. If I had decided that it was impossible, it would have been impossible. But I had made a different decision. And this is one of the most valuable lessons of my life.
So thank you to everybody who helped to spread this wonderful knowledge! I hope my story can inspire someone to, as Scorpions sing, “Make it real, not fantasy”! Remember that it is you who decides what is possible and what is not.
