Heart Shaped Gratitude Rock
Submitted by: David
Napa, CaliforniaStudent of Life. Gratitude helped me disolve a chest pain that bothered me for a very very long time. Gratitude will now help attract me my soulmate. Life is great!
Last year around this time my father was diagnosed with heart disease. It caused a lot of pain in my home. I could see the pain in my mother’s eyes every day. I could see my siblings worry more and more about dads health. In the end, after of weeks of appointment after appointment, dad went into surgery to get his arteries cleaned up. He kept a healthy diet and excersice plan after his surgery for better health.
A couple months passed and my father continued to be on the right track with his health. The only problem was that I started to get really bad chest pains. This was around the month of September. I mentioned it a couple times to my family but honestly they thought I was joking around. Everyone’s attention was still on dad and I couldn’t blame them. So time went on and my pain continued. I didn’t mention anything again until the end of November. I decided to make an appointment to get a physical done. I explained to my doctor my symptons in full detail. She ordered a EKG test to be done. Nothing came up. The pain continued though.
So the new year came in. It was in January of this year when I started reading The Secret. I started to be grateful for everything in my life. I was really pumped about living. My chest pain continued though.
In April my sister’s boyfriend noticed I had my hand on my chest and he asked me if I was alright. I told him my chest pain was really bothering me. He suggested for me to get a check-up. I told him I had gotten a physical done and nothing had come up. He then asked me if I wanted some paramedics to take a look at my problem. My sisters boyfriend is studying to be a paramedic himself. He told me he was taking some college classes with full time paramedics. He told me he could ask two of his classmates to come and swing by my house during one of their breaks to take a detailed picture of my heart. I didn’t have health insurance at the time so I took his offer.
A couple of days went by and the paramedics showed up to my house. They wired me up to a EKG machine and nothing came up. They looked at me funny. They asked me since when had I been getting the chest pains. I told them since last September. I told them I had the pain all day and everyday. So they hooked up more wires to my chest. It was in that test that they found out something different. They looked at each other and they looked confused. They asked for my age. I told them I was 26. They then asked if there were any family members with heart related problems. I told them my dad was diagnosed with heart disease last year and that I had a cousin who had a heart attack two years ago.
Well according to three different tests results their machine indicated that my heart was barely getting enough oxygen. They asked me if I had health insurance. My answer was no. They told me, “If you did have insurance we would be obligated to rush you to the hospital to get treatment.” They said,. “We have never encountered a case like mine. For a 26 year old man, your heart is barely getting enough oxygen to stay alive.” I could tell by looking at their faces that they weren’t joking around. They looked pretty worried.
They suggested to change up my diet and add an exercise plan in my everyday lifestyle. They also suggested to apply for a cheap health insurance plan. They reminded me that my case was special and that I need medical help a.s.a.p. That I had been surviving for a very long time with very little oxygen getting to my heart.
The days went by and my life seem like it was coming to an end. I started thinking about how my hours on earth were counted. I had a very negative mindset at the time. The pain continued to bother me a lot. I browsed the internet for information on a unstable angina. Everything I read on this disease I felt on my body.
I was a firm believer of The Secret but my whole mindset was on my illness. One day I decided to come on to this website to read health related stories. I felt I needed motivation from other peoples experiences. All the stories I read on this website inspired me to believe that I had the power in my hands and heart to turn my situation around for the good. I just need to think positive and be grateful for everything/everyone in my life.
I picked up a copy of The Magic. That first day I bought the book I read a couple of chapters. It was chapter 2 that changed my life. In that chapter it asked me to find a special rock and use it as a tool in my everyday life to be grateful for one thing event or person. At night time I was asked to say THANK YOU for the best thing that had happened to me during the day. This is where I used the LOA to find a special rock.
Later that week before heading to the gym my mom asked me to please clean up our backyard. So I put my gym bag down and I started to break down some stuff my dad had built. I didn’t really want to clean up the backyard. I just wanted to head over to the gym so I could clear my mind up a bit. But I cleaned up anyway. I put everything away and then I swept the patio. As I was leaving the backyard I notice their was a rock on top of a coffee table my dad had made. I looked at the rock from a couple feet away and was like “Hmmm that’s weird”. I headed over to the table and picked up the rock. It was shaped like a heart. One side of the rock was dirty and a bit chipped. The other side was nice and clean. Very smooth. I don’t know why, but I had a feeling this was the rock I was meant to have as my gratitude rock.
So ever since that day I used that rock at night to thank the universe and life for my healthy heart. I started a 30 day cleansing and I started to go out for two hour walks. During this time I always made sure to read a chapter of The Secret, The Power, or The Magic. I was sure my health condition was going to change for the better if I became grateful for everything in my life and asked for the best.
On May 9th after having a bad day at school my day got worse. I got a really bad chest pain and my left arm started to numb up, I was taken into the emergency room by mom. They took an EKG test. I had ten blood samples get drawn. I had my blood pressure get checked every twenty minutes. The whole time I was in bed I kept saying to myself “Everything is going to be alright. This will be the first and last time I come into the emergency room for this problem. My health is perfectly fine.”
Four hours later the doctor came in ” David your tests show that your perfectly healthy. You may get dressed and go home. I am not quite sure where this chest pain is coming from. There is no sign of cancer or a heart related problem. Go home and rest.” Once he said that to me my worries went away and I felt like I started to live again. I got all dressed up and headed home. On my way home I reached into my left pocket (that’s where I usually carry my rock with me) and I said, “Thank you for my healthy heart.” Ever since that day my pain went away. A pain that had been really really bothering me both physically and emotionally had all of a sudden disappeared. Just like Magic!!!!
Thank you Rhonda and the rest of The Secret team for coming into my life. Words cannot express how happy I am that your words and messages have been seen through my eyes and have touched my heart. Everything is possible. Nothing is impossible. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
ps. my heart shaped rock looks exactly as the one shown in the picture on page 37 of The Magic. 🙂
