Happy Valentine’s Day

Scarborough, Ontario, Canada25 year old boy aspiring to be the best I can be. Never say never.
Ok, first of all, I am so grateful for these amazing books and stories posted by people all around the world. You don’t know how easy you made it for me to survive a rather difficult period in my life. I have watched “The Secret” about 3 years ago but didn’t really practise it.
I fell in love with an amazing girl, we were talking about engagement rings, kid’s names and even a date and year to get married. Although we were in a happy relationship, negative thoughts, resentment and anger started to ruin our love. Before I knew it, we would only argue and not have the same passion as we did before (even argued about a sweater for 3 days).
It got to the point where we had to end our relationship, even though we were insanely in love, it just wasn’t working out (this was in October 2011). I thought that we could take a break and at least get back together by Christmas, so I waited and asked her to give “US” another chance around Christmas time, she said “no, I can’t go through this again”. I was even more devastated, not only was I without the “love of my life” but was spending Christmas alone. She would barely return my calls and I was so desperate to be with her again. She was trying hard to get over me and made a new group of friends picked up a hobby and I realized that I was becoming an afterthought. Whereas, I would go to my job, come home and never stop thinking about her in my room.
But I was not going to take “no” for an answer, so I remembered “The Secret” and all the positive impact that it had on me when I watched this video before, so I immediately went on this website and started browsing for books and videos and came across “The Power”.
I needed to listen to Rhonda and her team, I was in dire need for instant help, so I decided to buy “The Power” audiobook (this way I could listen to it on my pc immediately without waiting for the book to come in).
Honestly, it was the best decision I have ever made, not only did the message get me out of my agony and depression, but it finally gave me HOPE. I realized that our relationship failed because I was too negative and let the little things bother me too much instead of loving her for who she was, it changed my life. I would no longer feel sad and angered by the fact that she had left me but instead had only love and remembered her for the good things. As the days went by, I started to see changes in my life and she started to message me on her own. We were back on talking terms in mid-january!
So I decided to take it a step further, I imagined her wishing me “Happy Valentine’s Day” on Feb 14th. I really concentrated all my thoughts, would listen to love songs and imagined checking my phone with a message from her!
At 12;08 (midnight) on Feb 14th, 2012, I get a message from her saying “Happy Valentine’s Day dude”. I could not believe it! Although, she said dude instead of babe (like she used to), I was ecstatic! Honestly I am so grateful for Rhonda and her entire crew and everything that has happened to me over the last four months.
I have been so optimistic and I have accomplished so much in the last four months. I had a dream vacation to Las vegas, promotion at work and have a good relationship with my father (for the first time ever). I am so optimistic about life and so grateful for everything. Love you all!
ps; Can’t wait to check out “The Magic”.
