Green Lights and a Fast Lunch
Submitted by: SC
San Diego, CAI'm 23 years old, and I'll be a rich and famous media marketer by the time I'm 30! :)
I’m feeling particularly grateful at the moment, and so because of that, I feel that a story about something that happened about 10-11 months ago is warranted.
I was visiting a family member in the hospital, and was with my Mom at the time. Well, a little later I got hungry. (It was lunch-time for me.) So, I asked her if she would allow me to go across the street for my meal. There is a really delicious Kebab restaurant there, which I really like, so I decided to go there.
I have to say that gratitude really and truly does bring you into alignment with the creative forces that manifest your desires. The reason I say this with such conviction is that being grateful for what you have accomplishes two things. 1) It relaxes you more so you can think in terms of “I know I’ll have this, and I’m thankful,” instead of, “I want this, but what if I don’t get it?” 2) You’re already on a good thought vibration, so much of the hard work of putting yourself on the frequency of your desire is pretty much done. That was a necessary digression, because I want you to understand that gratitude is why things happened as they did. But anyway, on with the story…
I was grateful that day. Extremely grateful. Wanting-to-dance-without-caring-who-was-watching-me grateful! It felt amazing! So, instead of just sitting on my gratitude, I decided to “put it to work,” so to speak. I decided I would come back to the hospital to meet Mom exactly when she expected me. (I should insert here that she told me to hurry.) Yet, I was not going to worry about how late I would be heading back, but gave thanks for the fact that I would be heading back on time.
To make a long story short, the “green man” was at every street corner when I had to cross, and I did not have to push the button or wait one second. When I got to the kebab place, I asked for a Mediterranean chicken salad. They said they would have it for me really soon, because they had some salads set aside that had already been prepared. I ate my miraculously quick, yet delicious, lunch, and on the way back, I encountered a throng of “green men.” Then, when I came back to the hospital, Mom said, “That was fast!”
I was thankful beyond measure after that, because I knew that this all came about from a practical use of The Secret.
