Gratitude For The Magic.
I have read hundreds of stories here and thought of writing my first one, too. I wish to share an incident that shook me and it was gratitude that took me out of it. In the year 2009, I was at a sales workshop organised by our company and the trainer used a small clip from movie The Secret. I was flabbergasted by that small yet very effective clip of the movie. And that was how I was introduced to The Secret. A lot of things have changed since then by practicing the law of attraction, but this story is about the gratitude which I showed in bringing back a very close friend.
Recently a very dear friend, who is like a mentor to me, developed a misunderstanding with me,
which was because of some insignificant reason, however it was his trust which I broke, and that I shouldn’t have done. I was in remorse for what I had done. And I was feeling terribly sorry. I was distressed because I cherish our friendship so much and was thinking that I would lose him forever and was even terrified with the thought of losing him. I sent him many “sorry” messages but all in
vain. He had already stopped taking my calls. I was in deep trauma.
My wife had been to a yoga workshop and she was asked to read The Magic. I already had that book with me in my office. I gave it to her to read and implement. I had read The Magic and Day 15 is about Magically Healing Your Relationships. It just came into my mind like a flash. I immediately wrote 10 things that I was really grateful for about my friend. I started reading them and chanting it aloud whenever I could. I even sent those as 10 messages to him.
On the first day there was no reply. Meanwhile I also sent a few more apologizing messages. I had firm belief that it would work and on the 2nd day he replied to me by saying that I had hurt him badly with what I had done and asked me to leave him alone for few days. I was way too happy to read his
message. The Magic had started working already. I was thrilled, I thanked and thanked and thanked the universe.
Now I was waiting for his call. He had sent me a message, it was on Wednesday and on Saturday morning he called. Without wasting any time I said I want to meet you to which he agreed instantly. We met the next day and I felt great remorse for what I had done and apologized. We shook hands and we hugged each other, I couldn’t stop the tears rolling on my cheeks, but it was a happy moment. This episode, I firmly believe has strengthened our friendship.
Friends please try to implement the small doings said in The Magic. It worked for me, I am sure it will work for you as well if you are really grateful from your heart. You just need to be true to yourself.
Thanks you so much Rhonda Byrne Ma’am, you have given me my friend back. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
