My story is about how I became a Chartered Accountant.

Putting all your strength, hope and courage into accomplishing your dream and then losing it, was one of the worst nightmares I had ever felt. I was already 25. After my results of my final year of CA and my fifth failed attempt, not only did I feel insecure but it also pushed me towards thoughts that I should give up and pursue some other course. After few days of being upset and depressed about the fact that I could not clear it, I suddenly thought of reading the book The Secret again. It had been a very long time, and somehow it gave me a kick to think of one last try, as it would be my final attempt. The results was the only thing that could distant me from my dream and my goal.

I started afresh and this time I covered my room with chart papers. On them I had written CA prefixing my name. On my Secret Board I had written the marks in all my subjects that I wanted to score as if I had already scored that much in the coming attempt. I kept the board in front of my study table and before I started with my studies, every day I read it. After a few days, I got a feeling that I was enjoying my studies even more than ever before and it felt good. I was feeling the title, the happiness in my home and my parents being proud of me. All this gave me immense courage to study for the last time for this course.
Struggling for almost 7 years for the same course was not a joke, and not motivating for anyone.

Exams went pretty well and I actually evaluated my marks and matched them with what I had written on the board. Then it was the day that our results were to be declared. Like every student and specifically a CA student, I was nervous, tense, jittery and what not, to find out if it would come true or not. And finally, I was told by my friend that I cleared my attempt. Then I opened my results and to my surprise I actually scored 2 or 3 marks more in every subject than what I had written on my Secret Board! I came back to Pune and kept the pictures of The Secret Board with me in my phone.

I had been wanting to write for a year or more. I know the story had become too lengthy but I had to write it because I wanted to thank the writers of the book and let more people know about it. After this my life has changed in so many ways and with positivity all around.

Lastly, I would like to end it with few lines I loved and followed, by Jim Carrey. They go like this:

“Have faith and not hope. Hope is a beggar, it walks through the fire, but faith leaps over it”.
“Give faith a chance, a chance every time you want something, you aspire something, and it will be yours”.
“You will only ever have two choices, love or fear. Choose love and don’t ever let fear turn you against your playful for heart”.

With immense love, faith and gratitude to the Universe, the one that made my belief stronger, The Secret book and the writers. Now I am signing off.
