So basically I was feeling down and felt that I had nothing to be grateful for. I know that I am alive and that I have a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, etc. But I did not feel that I had anything significant that I could feel, something that I could achieve on my own. I wanted to feel great about myself for me and no one else, not to be selfish but feel independent.
The one thing that I just now realized is that I can breathe, that it’s the one thing that I can do for myself and be grateful to myself for, right now. I can do this for me and not have to depend on anyone else for it. I can take breathes anytime that I want without having ask for it or waiting for it. This is something that I can do for me so that I can feel good right now. So I have found something to start making me feel good where I am, right now. As empowering as this, is I want you all to realize that you all are powerful and that nothing dictates how your life is lived. If you are ever feeling down, just breathe. Focus on the breath going in and going out until you feel better and do it throughout the day, make it a habit. As I type this I am doing it and it is doing wonders for me. I have posted before about this and I hope that enough people are able to utilize what I have posted as I have used stories and tips from them.
