I have always wanted to write my own story on this site. Never thought I’d be doing it this soon, but the universe had other plans. So here I am. I want to say that the first time I found out about The Secret was when it aired on Oprah. My take away from watching the show that day was the vision board. I had no intention on buying the book. However a few years had gone by when I finally decided to purchase The Secret on Amazon. I was thrilled when I read it. I got all excited about trying out all the methods and then I got a hold of The Secret film.
Growing up I had always thought about the things that I want and then received it in some form or other. I now know that it’s really LOA working it’s magic. Whenever I needed money I had a feeling that I would get money. And I would receive an unexpected check in the mail like from the government who forgot to payout the rest of my retirement contribution. This is just one incident. However, I want to tell my story of what happened most recently, this is the story I’ve decided to share with you all.
Yesterday, around 5:30 pm, my daughter Tomiko and I were heading to Sam’s Club to get some water and other items. As we approach the parking structure, Tomiko spotted a good stall and I decided to take a short cut to get to the stall. I own a 2006 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab truck and making wide turns doesn’t work when you are driving through stalls with parked cars. What happened was I drove through empty stalls to get to that perfect stall.
There was an older Asian gentleman putting away the things he bought. He was parked near an empty stall that I decided to drive through. What happened next was something I didn’t expect. I’m always careful and I consider myself a good driver. So as I drove past the older gentleman, Tomiko says to me, “Mom you have to stop because you hit that car!”
I was a bit shocked since I really didn’t feel the truck hitting something. But I parked the truck and got down to go talk to the man who was still putting away his groceries. I asked him if he was alright, he says he’s fine. I looked at the side of his very expensive Mercedes and see that his side bumper had black marks, but no dents nor scratches. I told him that my daughter Tomiko says I hit his car and that’s why I stopped to talk with him.
He says that he didn’t feel his car move and we both looked to the bumper area. That’s when he tells me that he just bought the car. I truly felt sorry for my hitting his brand new Mercedes. I noticed he was wearing a name tag. He’s a realtor, Mr. Wong. I offered my insurance information and brought him my insurance card. I asked if he had a smart phone so he can quickly take a snap shot instead of writing it all down. I helped him take a photo of my insurance card and then gave him my name and cell phone number. I walked back to my truck and inspected it. It’s a miracle, I didn’t have any dents either.
What worried me is the fact that I’m being laid off from work. I only have a month to go til I lose my job. I was thinking about his brand new Mercedes and the cost it would be to fix whatever damage I caused. The paint alone probably cost an arm and a leg. From the time I gave Mr. Wong my cell phone number I was worried. Tomiko then tells me, “Mom, you did the right thing.”
My sixteen year old telling me this made my worries quickly disappear as I decided to receive whatever comes my way. The Secret was set in motion and I honestly believed that my approaching Mr. Wong and being sincere and humble, that he would take that into consideration when I hear from him later.
We went about doing our shopping. Then we got home and the worry set in again. I was thinking about the Mercedes. That’s when I got a call from an unknown number on my cell phone. I knew immediately that it was Mr. Wong. I answered and Mr. Wong says “ Elsie, what a way to meet? You bumping my car”. Then he begins to tell me that when he got home, he wiped away the black markings and his car had no dents and no scratches! He was worried about his new car since he just picked it up two weeks ago. I said to him that he’s got a good Mercedes. He tells me he wanted to call me so I can sleep that night. That’s when I realized it was LOA. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I thanked Mr. Wong and he wished me good luck in the future. He asked where Tomiko went to school and said that she’s at a good school. He asked me to “thank” Tomiko and he also wished her success in her future. OMG!! I got off the phone and talked to my daughter. I told her that his car was fine. No dents and no scratches.
I am applying the Secret to my job situation and the story is not over yet so I can’t write about it, but I truly believe that I will be fine. That my dream job with my dream salary has been created and now I have to finish my resume to get the job offer! I’ll write about it in 4-5 weeks.
Wishing my audience many heartfelt thanks for reading my story. Many happy blessings, good health, and joy coming your way!!
