I Got My Green Card.

GermanyGerman girl, living in the magic city.
First of all, thank you to everyone who posts their story here. I read them all the time and they always uplift and inspire me. Also a huge thank you to Rhonda Byrne for all her wonderful work, she has truly changed my life in every possible way.
I read The Secret for the first time in 2008. I was completely mesmerized and started using it every single day. I became so happy and positive and my life turned into magic.
Just a few months later, I moved from Germany where I was born to Miami. Despite having a wonderful childhood in Europe, it was always my desire to leave my hometown and live in a warm place with lots of palm trees. After coming here on vacation, I fell in love with the ‘Magic City’ which is what Miami is called. I went back home, quit the job that I had for 8 years, broke up with my boyfriend of 7 years, got rid of most of my belongings, bought a ticket, and just moved.
Things fell into place and I was happy to be living in this fantastic city, directly on the beach. I even manifested a nice job right away but the work visas were always expensive and not all that easy to get. Within the first 5 years, I obtained 3 different visas, which was very stressful for me and also did not provide me the freedom to work in every job I wanted. It sometimes limited my traveling as well. It always worked out in the end but I really wished to have a green card right from the beginning.
In 2016, the visa I had was still valid for another 18 months and I was starting to worry about how I would be able to stay after this one ended, as I knew I could not renew it again. I had built such a wonderful life here and did not want to lose it. Then I remembered how I manifested so many things already by using The Secret and I wanted to try again.
I closed my eyes and started to imagine how it feels to have a green card. I tried to feel the freedom I would have and how good it would be to never have to worry about it again and all the things I could do then. I started affirming in my mind that I am a green card holder and that I can stay in the city of my dreams as long as I want, without limitations. I also visualized how I would hold my green card in my hand and feeling really happy and grateful for it. I think I did this for about 30 minutes and it felt amazing. After that, I got up and knew with every fiber of my being that I would have a green card. I had absolutely no idea how it would come about, as many people had told me in the past that I do not qualify for the processes that were available.
Two weeks later I was walking on the street after having lunch and I met the person who had helped me with my first visa. I had not seen him in years and we started talking. After a few minutes, out of the blue, he tells me that his immigration lawyer had called him last week to inform him that there was a new process to obtain a green card that was much faster than a few years ago and that he would happily sponsor me if I wanted and if I was eligible for the process. I was elated and could not believe it. He called the lawyer and it turned out I could easily apply!
On top of that, he also told me that he needed a new home. He asked me if I could please help him with that, as I am a Real Estate Agent. A week later I met him again to show him some apartments and he bought the first one I showed him. With the money I made from that sale, I could pay the first payment to the attorney who started my green card application.
In the end, it was a two year process and there were a few small bumps in the road but I always knew that I had ordered a green card from the Universe and that it would come. In moments of doubt, I remembered the good feeling of holding it in my hands and was sure it would be a reality soon. Often times when I saw a traffic light turn green, I said to myself, “Great, green like my green card” and thanked the Universe for it.
I received my temporary work permit and travel parole a month before my work visa expired and today, I finally received my green card in the mail!! I am so grateful and happy, holding it in my hand, just like I envisioned it. My dream came true and it feels so good. There were so many other small magical details along the way but this is the shortest version.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you also to all my amazing friends that believed so strongly, helped me every step along the way, and are now celebrating with me.
I hope my story will inspire a few people as much as I always get inspired on this page. Wishing everyone the best life and lots of manifested dreams. You can have whatever you want, you just have to believe with all your heart that it is already yours.
A happy green card holder!
