My name is Erick, I’m from Monterrey, Mexico, 22 years old, international business student.

My story start almost 6/7 years ago. I was in high school and I was talking with 2 friends that recommended to me to read or watch the movie The Secret. I just agreed, but never did as it surprised me coming from the people that I received that advise from, as they were not role models.

I finished high school and I took a year to work. I had a good salary, but my day was routine. On one of those days I suddenly remembered about the movie, so I searched and watched it. It was very inspiring and motivational so I tried to use it but I failed. I didn’t knew how to do it.

So I forgot it.

Then, I started the university. I didn’t know what I wanted to study, but I wanted a really cool university. I was watching the high school musical movie for the first time and I said to myself “Wow I want that kind of university”. In my desire that I didn’t know, I chose international business. Later I figured that my team mascot was a lynx, as in high school musical.

3 1/2 years later this past year, I was talking to God. I am not a very religious person but I was very afraid for my future and I told him “Look I know you have a plan for everybody, and I really feel that I could give more in this life, and I want to become a singer or an actor, but if you have another plan for me, I accept it”.

Being an actor was my dream forever, but I never knew it.

During the next 2 weeks in a French Class I met 3 guys, 2 from Guadalajara and a girl from Chiapas, they study communication.

We connected instantly and in 2 weeks they invited me to make a short video, something for school. I did it, and I felt cool. 1 month later, they invited me to make another video from a musical group, I did it, again.

Then 2013 started and I saw them every day almost all day and we decided to create a producer team.

We have less than 6 months as a producer team, all of us are 22 to 25 years old, studying by day, working by night. From Monday to Friday, and Saturday and Sundays we are full of work recording videos from regular artists. All the income money goes to equipment, and we maintain each one with our regular jobs, we travel a lot to record artists, and we have plans to move to NY or LA.

My LOA was GOD, and I didn’t see that I got what I asked for at the moment it was happening. I only realized it months later.

It is crazy that me, a business student, almost a graduate, found his dream, started an enterprise with people I knew for less than a year. But I watch them every day, also they are from other states, but we all have the similar goals.

Use whatever works for you, LOA, GOD, visual board, an object, a person, anything. But always have faith, don’t focus on how it will happen, focus in the final result, and with patience, soon you will be there.
