I first saw The Secret video after I heard about it from a friend some 12 years ago. She had told me not to miss watching this video without giving away too many details. A few months later, I remember going into the Blockbuster Stores with my husband to pick up a movie on a weekend night, and to our luck, we saw this DVD on the rack and picked it up instantly. We watched the video that night and have been hooked on The Secret ever since.

The first thing that came to my mind was how, unknowingly, I had applied some of those principles in my life to turn around things in my favor. I have been a big fan of The Secret ever since I watched it and I’m filled with gratitude in my heart for Rhonda and her team for sharing this priceless gift so selflessly with all of us! Learning the science behind these amazing principles of the law of attraction (LOA) was such a blessing. I have not only followed these principles in the past decade but even had my hubby, brother, and sister-in-law do the same. I’m now passing this on to my two amazing little kids and they seem to be picking it up well too.

About 5 years ago, I got laid off from a job, something that I knew was coming. It was a good job, but I needed a change and a level up in my career. I was confident of finding a wonderful job after catching some signs from the Universe. Knowing this, I continued to make life plans without worrying about revisiting our family budget. I remember making a gratitude list called “Job LOA” and said thank you out loud a few times that week.

In less than 3 weeks, I not only had this new job matching everything on my gratitude list, but it also came with a great pay raise and an unexpected yearly bonus, something that I am still excited about. The cherry on the top was that the previous company extended my last date till the end of the month and my new company started my payroll a week sooner to get me set up which got me almost double pay for one full week when I was at home chilling. I literally danced along with the song “Happy Clap Along” while thanking my Universe for this! I have been enjoying this job ever since and have had some decent growth.

Then, a little over a year ago, I was seeking a big promotion since I felt it was time. So what did I do? I made a new Job LOA gratitude list on my phone and read it every now and then. I always had a smile on my face when I read it and it felt effortless. I was doing all the right things, taking all the right actions, and continued keeping my faith that my promotion was on the way.

Almost 6 months had gone by and I was starting to feel a little desperate. So I had to shift focus on something else and let the magic work. Then, one day, all of a sudden, my boss calls me on my phone in the morning and says, “You have been promoted” and my new title was going to be “Director”. This was my dream title that I had put on my vision board 6 years ago!

I knew this would come to me at the right time and I had imagined submitting my story to share this with everyone here when it happened. So here I am, doing this with a big smile on my face and a big thank you in my heart! OMG, this is so real! Thanks, thanks, thanks to The Secret team, to my Universe, to my family and to all of you amazing readers for taking the time to read my story. My journey with The Secret continues.
