From BPO To IT Industry!
This is my second story about “The Secret” which I am posting here. I am a working professional. I wanted to share how “The Secret” changed my life. I was in the BPO industry in Delhi ( Business process outsourcing) and wanted to join in the IT (Information technology) industry. I had tried a lot but due to my 7 years of BPO experience no MNC ( multinational corporation) was ready to take me in an IT. All my friends and relatives said that you will never get into the IT field. But in my heart, I always felt that I would be a Network Administrator soon. So, I have learned a few server courses in Delhi while working in BPO.
One day I have decided to leave my job and would join only when I get an IT job. I was jobless for a few months and I used all my earned savings to survive in Delhi without informing anyone in my family that I was not working. Slowly, my savings were about to finish. Then, I joined a BPO again so that I could survive in Delhi through my earned money, as I did not want to take money from family. I am from Haridwar, Uttrakhand.
When I joined that BPO, HR told me that I could move to the IT industry after completing 18 months in BPO and can apply for an IJP (Internal Job Posting). I was in calling profile, though I never worked in calling before. But that spirit of IT allowed me to work happily. I was telling everyone that I have joined this company only to get into IT.
After 6 months, I was facing severe throat problems because of continuous calls, but still I was continuing there to get into IT. I lost my voice completely on the 16 month and I was unable to speak on a call with the customer. I burst into tears on the call because I was unable to answer. Then, I took break for 2 minutes to think about what is more important, my health or IT. I left my office immediately and said to my colleagues that I am leaving this office forever.
Then, I started taking care of my throat and I was able to speak a few words after a week. After 10 days, I got a call from my Sr. Manager. He asked about my health and said do not leave this job as you have only two months left to get into IT. I clearly told him that please release me or terminate me as I know I am can not do that job anymore. But he said, I am giving you leave without pay and I will try to arrange something for you in non-voice process.
I blessed him, offered gratitude and felt happy. After 15 days he called me again and said that he has arranged an interview in KPO for a non-voice process. The next day I went for an interview and I was selected. For the first time in my life, I worked in XML. And I took it as sign of God towards IT.
My all colleagues including my Assistant Manager were said that to get into IT from KPO is impossible, people are trying here form 5 years but not getting it. But I told them that I am about to complete my 18 months and within few 2 months I will be in IT. Luckily, my one colleague, Arshad showed me “The Secret” video! After a week and one of my colleagues, Ankit, gave me “The Secret” book to read. I read a few pages and bought a copy of the book for myself.
Then, I started applying LOA principles given in the book. Daily, I was feeling that I am working as an Administrator and started applying. I was not getting any response from anywhere but still I was thinking, feeling, visualizing and offering gratitude all the time. I was unable to eat because my hunger was for an IT job. At the end of the 19th month, I started getting calls from all locations and at the 20th month, I joined the Hyderabad location as an Administrator!!
I am extremely happy and thankful to the whole cosmic Universe who is continuously working for my excellence. I am thankful to my colleagues Arshad and Ankit who gave me “The Secret”. I am thankful to Rhonda and each one of you who have created “The Secret”. And, I am thankful to all the storytellers. I am daily reading The Secret and LOA stories. Thank you all for sharing and motivating me continuously.
Very soon I will share my new story about how I have reduced 27 kgs. Stay blessed, enjoy and just give love, love and love.
