Johannesburg, South AfricaAn Electrical and Electronics Engineering student looking to manifest the world.
Back in 2016, I was in my final year of high school. My entire life I wanted to be an academic, but I constantly felt that it was unavailable to me. Regardless of all the people telling me it was possible, I felt I did not have the brain required for academic success.
This belief changed when I read The Secret. After reading the book, something clicked. I just resonated with each page and felt that this had to be the missing piece in my life.
I was so invested in this idea of manifestation that I made the rash decision to repeat my final year of high school independently in an effort to get into a Professional Engineering degree. Everyone fought me saying that I was crazy, but I just knew this was meant to be.
My repeat year, 2017, was magical and spiritually awakening. However, I did not study much and my marks showed. I had very little improvement but I did not care. I knew this year had to happen and just felt at peace with the experience. But little did I know my risk was about to pay off.
Towards the end of 2017, I had woke up one day with the thought that today was going to be a good day. Being familiar with intuition, I just went with the thought that today was going to be a good day. I went through my day constantly looking for this “good day”. My Dad picked me up and as we drove back we had a nice conversation. All was fine until a moment of silence had hit, and immediately an ad played on the radio. “Do you want to be a problem solver, do you want to apply scientific principles to real life issues, well ……… private university will be the first private institution in Africa to offer a Professional Engineering degree.”. I was floored, and so was my dad. Usually only the big public universities were able to offer this degree so I could hardly believe it.
I went home and Googled the institution and there it was, my degree. I had just met the requirements and because it was brand new, there was no competition. Automatic acceptance! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am currently in my 4th year and could not be more grateful. Thank you so much for The Secret. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
