My cousin and friend Dallas gave me the book of The Secret on April 05, 2007, so I wouldn’t be bored when I was put on unexpected 10 day bed rest. He had been talking about this book for a couple of weeks and I decided since I had nothing else to do I would read this book.

At first I found it a hard read. I picked it up and put it down a thousand times. Eventually something in it pulled me in. I decided that I would try to ask for “friends”. My whole life I have had problems having friends. I was a shy person (until you know me really well!) and I never thought I had much to offer in friendships. The Secret showed me the self-love that I needed. So I put out to the universe that I wanted friends, or an old friend to contact me. I asked, I believed, but I didn’t do anything else.

Less than 48 hours later…3 old friends contacted me and I made at least 5 new friends online. It worked in a quick hurry!! The universe literally said “your wish is my command!”
