One afternoon a friend of mine had called me asking if I’d like to go to the Universal Studios theme park. I went by to pick him up in my car and we were chatting on the way over to the park.
As we were talking about how excited we were to go he remarked how he really wanted to ride the new Simpsons ride, but that the lines would probably be so long it would be an hour or more wait.
My response after watching The Secret earlier that month was, “Don’t worry we won’t have to wait to get on the ride, we’ll get right in.”
I knew that we would be able to get in without a long wait. I visualized us getting in without having to wait in a long line. In fact I pictured us walking in the attraction with no waiting and having a blast on the ride!
As we were walking up near the metal globe at the entrance to the Studio, a young couple in their mid 20’s that neither one of us knew, came up to us and started talking.
They asked us, “Hey guys, would you like to have our FASTPASSES? Since we are leaving the park we won’t need them”.
The FASTPASSES are an extra $40 each!! At that point I almost got emotional, but quickly calmed myself back down. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather and I heard the Twilight Zone music playing!
They gave us the two free passes and we rode ALL of the rides including the Simpsons ride without having to wait for the rest of the day!!
I looked the statistics up AND to my amazement there are 30,000 people that enter the park on an average day! So our odds are 1 in 30k to have been approached!!
