Last night while I lay in bed reading, I realized I didn’t have a book mark for my book. As I searched through my nightstand drawer, I came across a journal that I hadn’t used in a long time.

Poking out of the pages was a piece of paper I had used as a bookmark. To my surprise, I saw that it was a “Magic Check” that I had printed from The Secret’s “Gifts For You” web page. I had made the check out for just $2000 which I must have needed at the time, but which I honestly couldn’t remember doing.

As I lay there, it occurred to me that not only did I get the $2000, but much more than that. It didn’ come all at once, but circumstances had taken place that allowed me to save the money over time.

This made me think about my job and how, after being told that the position had been filled, it became available again when the person backed out. Through getting this much needed job, I have been able to save more money than I had originally needed.

What a wonderful reminder of how the universe listens to us and gives us what we need. The Secret is to ask for what you want and then let the thought go with the knowledge and belief that the universe will take care of it for you.
