Footprints in the Sand
While walking on the beach one day I found a remarkable fossil that looked exactly like a footprint. It was very small, about 3/4th of an inch in length. Instantly it reminded me of the beautiful short story “Footprints in the Sand”. I carefully placed my newfound treasure in my pocket to take home.
When I got to my car to leave I checked my pocket for my “footprint” but it was nowhere to be found. I searched everywhere but couldn’t find it. Needless to say I left very disappointed that I had lost my treasure.
Several months later, when I was going through a terrible depression, I prayed for some sign of hope. I wanted some definite proof that my higher power exsisted. I prayed for a sign.
I specifically asked that in order to prove God exsisted, I would find something that I had lost.
Later that day, I went to do the laundry. As a wife & mother of 2 teenage boys I do alot of laundry. Here’s where my miracle comes in. Unbelievably, my beautiful treasure – the “footprint” – was sitting alone, right on top of the washing machine. I couldn’t believe it.
My “footprint” is validation that God does exsist. The law of attraction is real and my higher power truly does carry me in times of trouble.
