Flights and Fate
Submitted by: Irene M
KenyaI work in a remote area where we try and go home every so often by plane. The flights can be overbooked and difficult to get on and it can be very discouraging.
The first time I went home, I wasn’t on the designated list and it was very difficult to get a confirmed seat. I really needed a break and prayed that I would get a seat the following day. It took the workings of a colleague to ensure that my name finally got approved.
I believed that I would get on that flight and even when I got to the airstrip the next morning; there was a confusion because somebody who we thought was not travelling decided to travel at the last minute. I looked at the sky and just thanked the Universe that I was there.
I got on the flight that morning. I have decided to believe that my name is always on the designated flight list. Every single time! I focused on being on that flight even on the most challenging situations, even when put on (what others call) a waiting list, I choose to believe that is the real LIST.
I am thankful.
